Our 16th Anniversary
We are celebrating our 16th Anniversary year of Soap Making in the Valley. Opeongo is on a ridge, between the Madawaska Valley and Ottawa Valley off the Opeongo Line.
Jack and I want to thank all our customers who purchased our soaps from day one and their children who grew up washing with Opeongo Soaps.
My first soap that I labelled was Patchouli 'Spirit of the 60's' a colourful bar with an aroma of Patchouli. Those who like it love it.

All our handcrafted skin care products are produced on our farm.
We use our goat's milk or rainwater to reduce the mineral content and achieve a proper pH balance. Therefore, our products are friendly to your skin as well as the environment.
Our goal is to create luxury soaps of the highest quality for an affordable price.

Opeongo (say o-pee-ON-go) is from the Algonquin word opeauwingauk meaning "sandy narrows". The Opeongo Road is a heritage road leading to Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada

Ingredients

The base for all our soaps is 100% vegetable shortening (soya or canola oil). We use sodium hydroxide to solidify the soap (for a cold process soap) and add olive oil, canola oil, or castor oil to pamper and soften the skin.

Our traditional process ensures that one third of the oil is converted into natural glycerin, a deep, soothing moisturizer.

Some of our soaps are made with goat's milk, and some with rainwater. The low mineral content makes for a softer soap.

To scent the soap, we use herbs, plant products, and Essential Oils or Fragrance Oils.
